The third Major of the Legends Tour season, the Senior Open Championship presented by Rolex, returns to Carnoustie in 2024 – one of the world’s finest links courses.

It was the host venue for the Senior Open when Bernhard Langer won in 2010 and Paul Broadhurst in 2016 as well as eight-times for The Open Championship, including 1999 when Paul Lawrie claimed the Claret Jug, it has also twice been the Women’s British Open venue.

Alex Cejka will be the defending champion having won Senior Open at Royal Porthcawl in 2023.

Carnoustie’s Championship course was voted Best Golf Course in the World in 2019 and will provide a stern examination of the players in this year’s Senior Open, not least from one of the toughest closing stretches of holes anywhere in the world

“We are delighted to be able to announce The Senior Open’s return to Carnoustie in 2024. There is no doubt that Carnoustie is one of the world’s best golf courses, having hosted this event twice before and The Open eight times, and we are thrilled to be heading back to Angus next year.”
