A return to Scotland for Europe's only Senior Major championship!

The third Major of the Legends Tour season, the Senior Open Championship presented by Rolex, returns to Carnoustie in July – one of the world’s finest links courses.

It was the host venue for the Senior Open when Bernhard Langer won in 2010 and Paul Broadhurst in 2016 as well as eight-times for The Open Championship, including 1999 when Paul Lawrie claimed the Claret Jug, it has also twice been the Women’s British Open venue.

Alex Cejka will be the defending champion having won the Senior Open at Royal Porthcawl in 2023.

Carnoustie’s Championship course was voted Best Golf Course in the World in 2019 and will provide a stern examination of the players in this year’s Senior Open, not least from one of the toughest closing stretches of holes anywhere in the world

“There is no doubt that Carnoustie is one of the world’s best golf courses, having hosted this event twice before and The Open eight times, and we are thrilled to be heading back to Angus.”

Edward Kitson, Championship Director the The Senior Open presented by Rolex
