The Senior Italian Open was first held in 2004 and will return to the Schedule in 2021.

In the most recent Senior Italian Open, the South African ‘James Kingston’ posted a blemish free four under par round of 68 to finish on 11 under, one stroke clear of Sweden’s Joakim Haeggman, who carded a one under par round of 71.   The Sergio Melpignano Senior Italian Open is undoubtedly one of the most luxurious events on the Schedule, being played at San Domenico Golf.

Past winners of the event include former Ryder Cup Captain Sam Torrance, American star Clark Dennis – who won back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018 – and England’s Barry Lane, who triumphed in a play-off in the 2019 event.
