The ISPS HANDA Senior Open returns in 2026 to the iconic Gleneagles King’s Course

The ISPS HANDA Senior Open returns in 2026 to the iconic Gleneagles King’s Course in Scotland, hosting Europe’s only senior major championship from 23–26 July. One of the most respected events in senior golf, the Senior Open attracts a world-class field of players aged 50 and over competing over four rounds of stroke play.

Gleneagles will host the championship for the second time, having previously welcomed the Senior Open in 2022, when Darren Clarke became one of the few golfers in history to win both The Open and the Senior Open. The King’s Course—renowned for its strategic design, mature parkland setting and tactical challenges—is a fitting stage for golf’s legends to vie for one of the sport’s most coveted senior titles.

The 2025 ISPS HANDA Senior Open was staged at Sunningdale Golf Club, where Pádraig Harrington captured the title with a superb performance against a stellar field.

As the championship heads back to Gleneagles in 2026, anticipation builds for another thrilling week of elite senior competition at one of Scotland’s most historic venues.
