In 2025, Greg Owen had a solid season on the Legends Tour, beginning with a strong second-place finish at the Barbados Legends in May, where he carded a 2025-low 64 in the second round but finished two strokes behind winner Scott Hend with a total score of 202 (−11). He placed 10th at the Costa Navarino Legends Tour Trophy with a score of 210 (−6), and finished 18th at the Black Desert NI Legends and tied for 24th at the Grass & Co English Legends, also scoring 216 (−3).
He finished second at the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship 2024 and also registered a top five at the Legends Tour Trophy hosted by Simon Khan.
The Englishman played more than 200 events on the DP World Tour, with just one victory – the 2003 British Masters coming in his 158th start.
He spent much of his time in the USA after gaining his PGA Tour card at the end of 2004 and came close to winning the 2006 Bay Hill Invitational where he led by a single shot with two holes to play. However, he took three putts from little over three feet on the penultimate hole, which would cost him the win. He would go on to pick up a win on the Korn Ferry Tour though in 2014 with the United Leasing Championship title.
Was Nottinghamshire’s number one ranked tennis player in 1985 at the age of 13, but ultimately chose a career in golf – turning pro in 1992.
