Second Major of the Year for Bland

In a tense four-hole play-off, Richard Bland won his second Major of the year beating Japanese golf, Hiroyuki Fujita.

Bland pared the fourth extra hole, and Fujita could only manage a bogey five. A brilliant final round of 66 had put Bland in the position, one of the best scores of the day on the tough Newport Country Club, Rhode Island.

2025 heads to Colorado and the superb Broadmoor Golf Club. The Donald Ross classic, in the grounds of the sumptuous resort, is sure to be a true test.
