The Riegler & Partner Legends, formerly the Murhof Legends, returns to the Legends Tour International Schedule for 2021

Golfclub Murhof is one of Austria’s best-known golf courses, having held prominent amateur tournaments, as well as European Challenge Tour and Ladies European Tour events.

Argentina’s José Coceres held off the challenge of a Major Champion and several Ryder Cup stars to collect his second title of the season at the first edition of the tournament in 2019. After a blistering ten under par second round of 62 – a new course record – Coceres was put under pressure by 1999 Open Champion Paul Lawrie who spectacularly holed-out for eagle on the first hole, a shot which would go on to win the 2019 Shot of the Year accolade.

After early miscues, Coceres steadied the ship and a birdie-birdie finish, including a 25-foot putt a the last, saw him seal his second title in some style by a margin of four strokes.

It was a special week for the Argentinian, who had his son as a winning caddie for the second time that year, following on from his Swiss Seniors Open success.

Lawrie finished in second, one stroke ahead of 2002 Ryder Cup star Phillip Price – who would go on to win the John Jacobs Trophy for topping the Order of Merit later that year.

One of the highlights of the 2019 tournament came in the first round as Frenchman Thomas Levet holed his 235-yard second shot into the par five seventh hole for an albatross.
