PJ Noonan won the amateur individual title, while Peter Baker and Euan McIntosh alongside their amateur Kirk Pearson claimed the Alliance Team honours, the celebrity individual competition was won by Liam Botham and the celebrity team trophy went to Peter Baker’s team of Teddy Sheringham, Chris Bardgett and Michael Styles.

Our host venue, Seapoint Golf Links

It’s a relatively young links course, opened in 1995, but the original design by Des Smyth and Declan Branigan gives the golfer a quality test. It overlooks the Mourne Mountains and the Irish Sea, with its fescue greens and well-manicured fairways ensuring Seapoint has the wow factor!

In addition to last year’s Irish Legends, Seapoint has also hosted a DP World Tour Match Play event, two Irish PGA’s and the Irish Amateur Close Championship.

Three-time Major winner and Legends Tour player Padraig Harrington says of Seapoint: “There is not a weak hole on the entire golf course.”

No two rounds are ever the same at Seaport where wind is the biggest factor. Two loops of nine holes ensure that there are many changes in hole direction and the challenge posed to players.

Course designer Declan Branigan said of the course: “The challenge is that every hole tests something or other – courage, intelligence, touch.”
