The stunning setting of Trevose Golf & Country Club will host the Farmfoods Legends Links Championship for the second time when the Legends Tour returns to the Cornish Coast in 2021.

With rolling fairways and spectacular scenery set against the backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean, Trevose provides an exceptional setting for our Legends.

In 2019, Frenchman Jean-François Remésy claimed an emotional victory as he won his second Legends Tour title – his first win on English soil.

A three-time European Tour winner, Remésy sat two strokes behind first-round leader Jarmo Sandelin after a four under par 68 but joined the 1999 Ryder Cup player in a share of the lead after 36 holes. Remésy then fired a closing round of 67, five under par, to finish one stroke ahead of 1993 Ryder Cup player Barry Lane, who won the Senior Italian Open just three weeks prior.

An eagle-birdie run from the tenth hole gave the Frenchman the momentum he needed to retake the lead and a sensational up-and-down for par on the 17th hole helped him realise a 40-year dream of winning in England.

Remésy would end the year in fourth position on the Legends Tour Order of Merit, his best finish since turning 50 in 2014, after recording three runner-up and two third-place results later that season.

More than world class golf

The host venue, Trevose Golf & Country Club, is ideally situated on the north coast of Cornwall, just a stones’ throw from the picturesque town and fishing port of Padstow, which has become very popular over the years due to its traditional English harbour and renowned restaurant scene, not to mention its close vicinity to Cornish heavyweights, Newquay and Bodmin.
