Steven Alker claimed his maiden Legends Tour victory at the 2024 WCM Mexico Senior Open.

In 2025, New Zealand’s Steven Alker has continued to shine on the Legends Tour, building on his impressive 2024 season. He secured his first Legends Tour victory at the WCM Mexico Senior Open in November 2024. Alker has maintained strong performances across several events finished 7th with a total score of 270 (−10), after leading the first round with a 63 at ISPS HANDA Senior Open and tied for 14th with a score of 286 (−2) at the Senior PGA Championship.
Plays with a condition called reactive arthritis, which manifests itself as inflammation (heat, pain and swelling) in the joints. Despite that condition, which clearly can affect a professional golfer, he won his card for the US PGA Tour in 2003, after finishing fourth on the 2002 Nationwide Tour.
Joined The European Tour after finishing 20th at the 2006 Qualifying School – Final Stage, having won seven times around the world, with tournament victories in America, Australia, Canada, Fiji and Tahiti.
He has since gone on to win five times on the PGA Champions Tour – clinching the 2022 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship, his first senior major title.
