Retief Goosen, the South African golfing legend, had a standout 2025 season on the PGA Tour Champions, where Goosen tied for 4th place in the Senior PGA Championship with a score of -6 (71–72–68–71=282).
The South African won the Senior Players Championship for his first over 50’s Major in 2019 and finished 6th in the Senior US Open in 2023 as he looks to complete the set of US Open trophies by adding to his victories in 2001 at Southern Hills and 2004 at Shinnecock Hills.
He was 3rd in the JCB Championship on the Legends Tour in 2022, three shots behind the winner – Alex Cejka.
“The Goose” as he is affectionately known, won 14 titles on the DP World Tour where he was crowned Europe’s number one in 2001 and 2002, he also won seven titles on the PGA Tour. He appeared for the international team at the Presidents Cup on six occasions, won the World Cup of Golf for South Africa in 2001 and was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2019.
He owns his own award-winning vineyard in South Africa, producing The Goose wines.
