Simon Hurd is an English professional golfer from Yorkshire who forged a career across the European Tour and Challenge Tour before moving into the senior ranks. He turned professional in the late 1990s and secured his maiden professional victory at the 2002 Rolex Trophy in Geneva, a win that propelled him to sixth in the Challenge Tour rankings and earned him a European Tour card for 2003.
Across his playing career,
Hurd shared fairways with the likes of Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, and Colin Montgomerie, picking up top ten finishes along the way. Coached for much of his career by Stuart Morgan at The Grove, he also drew on the guidance of fellow Yorkshireman and boyhood hero Howard Clark. Alongside his playing, Hurd built the Druh Belts and Buckles brand into a global golf lifestyle business.
