A Legend of European Golf, José Maria Olazábal is a two-time Masters winner, masterminded the “Miracle of Medinah” in the 2012 Ryder Cup and played his first events on the Legends Tour in 2023.

He won his two Green Jackets at Augusta in 1994 and 1999, took six PGA Tour titles and has also won 23 DP World Tour events.
Olazábal beat Colin Montgomerie to take the Amateur Championship in 1984, was named Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year in 1986 and is a member of the DP World Tour’s “500 Club” having made 534 appearances.
He is a legend in the Ryder Cup where he played on seven European teams from 1987 through to 2006. His partnership with the great Seve Ballesteros saw the pair claim 12 points from their 15 matches together – the most successful Ryder Cup partnership of all time.
Then in 2012, he captained Europe to an incredible final day comeback, from 10-6 down to win the Ryder Cup at Medinah CC, the “Miracle of Medinah” as it has become known.
Olazábal was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2009.
