The Englishman played more than 400 times on the DP World Tour and was named the 1994 Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year after finishing just outside the top 30 on the Order of Merit thanks to placing 3rd at the Benson & Hedges International, 4th in the Dubai Desert Classic and 5th at the Scottish Open.
He would enjoy his only win on the Tour in 1996 when he took the title at the Czech Open, a year where he’d achieve a career-high 20th place on the Order of Merit.
Has registered a runner-up finish on three occasions, at the 2004 Open de Sevilla and Open de France along with the 2003 Celtic Manor Resort Wales Open.
Jonathan was three-times a winner on the Challenge Tour between May 1992 and October 1993.
In 2025, Jonathan Lomas competed in several Legends Tour events, including the Swiss Seniors Open, where he finished 30th with a score of 205 (−5), and the Costa Navarino Legends Tour Trophy, finishing 41st with a score of 220 (+4).
