John Daly is a two-time Major champion, nicknamed “Wild Thing”!

He will be lining up at the Legends Tour’s flagship event in 2024 – the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship at Trump International Golf Links, Scotland.
Since turning 50 he’s won once on the PGA Tour Champions as well as taking the title at the 2021 PNC “Father and Son” Championship alongside John Daly II, beating Tiger and Charlie Woods by two shots.
He is best-known though for his two Major triumphs.
Almost an unknown in 1991 and only playing in his third Major championship, Daly won the PGA Championship at Crooked Stick by three shots before going on to be named PGA Tour Rookie of the Year.
His second Major came at St Andrews in 1995, beating Costantino Rocca in a play-off to claim the Claret Jug at The Open.
Daly is a colourful character on and off the golf course where he enjoys writing songs, playing the guitar and recording albums when he’s not playing golf.
A self-taught player with a flowing swing which was built to create raw power and distance – he tagged the phrase “I just grip it and rip it” referencing his drives of more than 300 yards.
