He is a three-time winner on the DP World Tour with victories in each year from 2005 to 2007.
The Englishman made more than 400 appearances on the Tour and got his breakthrough win at the Open de Canarias in 2005, a year later he would finish one shot clear of Padraig Harrington to win the Open de France and then in 2007 was winner of the Alfred Dunhill Championship, a shot ahead of Ernie Els and Lee Slattery.
John played on the GB&I team in the inaugural Seve Trophy in 2000.
