Scotland’s Gary Orr won twice on the European Tour in the space of six months in 2000, at the Algarve Portuguese Open and the Victor Chandler British Masters.

He became the second oldest player to secure a European Tour card at the Qualifying School Final Stage when, at 45 years and 202 days, he finished 28th – the last qualifying spot – at PGA Catalunya Resort in November 2012. That came 20 years after he first achieved the feat.
Since turning 50, he has won twice on the Legends Tour. His first victory came at the 2018 Scottish Senior Open, before triumphing again a month later at the Paris Legends
