Emanuele Canonica joined the Legends Tour in 2021 and was runner-up in the 2022 Irish Legends.

Emanuele had a best finish in his rookie season of third at the 2021 Senior Italian Open, before 2022 saw him finish as runner-up at the Irish Legends event along with two more third place finishes in the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship and the MCB Tour Championship – Seychelles. In 2023 he would record three top ten finishes, but a first Legends Tour victory remains elusive – for now!
A good driver of the ball, Canonica led the DP World Tour driving stats from 1998 to 2000.
He represented Italy in amateur golf at boys, youth and senior levels and would share third place at the 1995 Italian Open alongside his hero Constantino Rocca. However, he seriously considered giving up golf at the end of 2004 but was convinced to carry on by family and friends, including football icons Roberto Donadoni and Gianluca Vialli. It would prove to be a wise move with his only DP World Tour victory coming in 2005 at Gleneagles in the Johnnie Walker Championship.
