Elisabeth turned professional in 1997 and joined the LET (Ladies European Tour) soon afterwards, capturing her first victory in 2003 at the Tenerife Ladies Open, following up a year later with a victory in the 2004 KLM Ladies Open.
She would also go on to represent Team Europe at the 2003 Solheim Cup at Barseack Golf & Country Club in Sweden, captained by Catrin Nilsmark – earning 1.5 points for her team (1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss).
