In 2025, Carlos Balmaseda has been actively competing on the Legends Tour, finishing 17th at the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship with a score of 296 (+8), missing the cut at the ISPS Handa Senior Open with 151 (+11)
Carlos Balmaseda has been a regular on the Legends Tour circuit since 2024 after he secured his playing rights on the Legends Tour as a graduate of Q-School.
The Spaniard missed out a year
earlier, placing in the top ten but he was three shots away from claiming one of the five cards on offer.
In January 2024 he made amends, carding rounds of 69, 71, 68 and 72 to take one of those prized top five places, “Last year I made a big mistake on the last day, I needed revenge!” he said after his final round at Gloria Resort in Belek, Turkey.
Balmaseda played 71 times on the Challenge Tour and was crowned the Spanish Senior Champion in 2021 and 2023 also winning the Marbella Senior Open in December 2023.
Nicknamed “Charci”, Carlos has played on the DP World Tour, Asian Tour, Mena Tour and the Alps Tour as well as the Madrid Professional Tour.
