Five top ten finishes, including third in the OKI Spanish Senior Open by Cleveland/Golf Srixon, helped him finish inside the top 30 on the Order of Merit for the ninth season in a row.

Captured his eighth Senior Tour title in dominant fashion in the 2010 Handa Senior Masters presented by The Stapleford Forum. The Scot shot a final round 66 to round off a superb wire-to-wire victory by seven strokes. That came after a stunning opening round 64 – his best round of the season. The victory was his first since he won the 2008 DGM Barbados Open after a scintillating final round 65 at Royal Westmoreland Golf Club. He finished 11th on the Order of Merit in 2010 and fifth in 2008 – his best since 2004 – courtesy of seven top-five finishes. Finished second in the money list in his rookie year in 2003 when he won the first two of his eight Senior Tour titles, the Ryder Cup Wales Seniors Open and the De Vere PGA Seniors Championship. Returned to the winner’s enclosure after a two-year title drought when he won The 2007 Midas English Seniors Open at St Mellion, holding off the nearest challenger and three-time winner Carl Mason with a superb final round of 69 to win by two shots. It was the second victory he had recorded with son Callum on the bag, the previous win having come in 2004 at the Charles Church Scottish Seniors Open. He was also his caddie at Stapleford Park. Was a runner-up three times on The European Tour. Shot an opening-round 65 in The 1979 Open Championship at Royal Lytham & St Annes.
