Both of his victories came in Spain – at the 1991 Madrid Open and the 1992 Spanish Open – in an 18-year spell on the DP World Tour spanning 443 tournament appearances.
Andrew registered one win on the Challenge Tour with the 2001 Open Golf Montecchia, he also won the 2011 Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship.
He sold his fishing gear to pay for a first set of golf clubs
after hitting balls in a friends garden at the age of 12. Andrew finished as the leading amateur in the 1984 Open Championship at St Andrews, won by Seve Ballesteros, and would turn pro the next year.
