Fowler is also known as ‘God’ by Liverpool supporters, is a former professional footballer most commonly known for the integral role he played with Liverpool and England.
He began playing for Liverpool after graduating for their academy in 1993, leaving the club in 2001 before returning for 2006-07. Fowler was one of the Liverpool’s most prolific strikers, scoring 183 goals in 357 appearances for the club, becoming the seventh-highest goal scorer in the history of the Premier League and Liverpool’s top scorer in the Premier League as of 2021.
He was capped for England 26 times, scoring seven goals and competing in Euro 1996, Euro 2000 and the 2002 World Cup.
Since retiring from football Fowler has become a football manager, managing Muangthong United from 2011-2012 in Thailand, Brisbane Roar from 2019-2020 in Australia and most recently East Bengal in India.
