The Staysure Legends Tour today announced its 2026 global schedule, marking the start of an exciting new chapter as the Tour officially becomes the Staysure Legends Tour, following the appointment of Staysure as title sponsor.
The 2026 calendar confirms another compelling season of world-class competition featuring Major champions, Ryder Cup legends and emerging contenders, with events staged across the UK and Ireland, Europe, America, the Caribbean and Asia — underlining the Tour’s truly global reach and growing international stature.
The new season will see a refreshed identity unveiled with a new logo, an expanded international calendar and a continued commitment to showcasing elite over-50s competition. Featuring Ryder Cup captains, Major champions and proven Tour winners — alongside an exciting influx of new players — the Staysure Legends Tour continues to celebrate excellence built on experience and sustained performance at the highest level.
The campaign follows an outstanding 2025 season that showcased the depth and competitiveness of the Tour. Australian Scott Hend, a multiple-time winner on the DP World Tour and Asian Tour, claimed the season-long Order of Merit title after a dominant year and will return in 2026 looking to continue his impressive form. The year also saw a number of rookies coming into contention alongside established names, underlining the evolving profile of the Tour. Darren Fichardt was crowned Barry Lane Rookie of the Year after a stellar debut season competing on both the Legends Tour and the DP World Tour.
The 2026 season will begin in February in Marbella at Aloha, where home favourites José María Olazábal and Miguel Angel Jimenez are set to headline a strong opening field. The Tour then returns to Barbados at the end of April, visiting the spectacular Apes Hill resort for a tournament hosted by Masters champion and 2006 Ryder Cup captain Ian Woosnam.
Among the highlights of the 2026 calendar will be three of senior golf’s most prestigious Major championships. The Major season begins with the Senior PGA Championship in Florida in April, followed by the US Senior Open in Ohio in July, before culminating in the ISPS HANDA Senior Open at Gleneagles in Scotland. Hosted at the iconic 2014 Ryder Cup venue, Gleneagles provides a fitting stage for one of the most celebrated championships in the senior game.
The Legends Tour’s flagship event, the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship, will once again be hosted by former Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie at Trump International Resort in Aberdeen. The August event will make history as the first professional tournament to be played on the venue’s New Course — marking a significant milestone for both the resort and Scottish golf.
Further strengthening the international schedule, a co-sanctioned PGA Tour Champions event will take place at the Els Club in Vilamoura, Portugal, at the end of July, attracting many of the game’s global stars.
Beyond tournament play, the Tour will continue to offer amateur golfers the unique opportunity to compete alongside legends of the game through both pro-am formats and competitive ‘tournament experience’ events — a distinctive feature of the Legends Tour model.
David Adams, Managing Director of the Legends Tour, said:
“We’re incredibly excited to announce our 2026 schedule and to begin this new era as the Staysure Legends Tour. Building on the momentum of an outstanding 2025 campaign, we have a calendar that combines prestigious Major championships, exciting new venues and a truly global footprint. The breadth of the schedule and the quality of the venues reflect how far the Tour has come, and 2026 promises to be a landmark season.”
He added:
“The standard of competition continues to rise year on year, with a brilliant mix of established names and new players coming through. With so much quality across the field and such strong venues on the schedule, 2026 has all the ingredients to be a memorable season.”
Ryan Howsam, Chairman of both Staysure and the Legends Tour, added:
“The Legends Tour represents the very best of the game’s experience and competitive spirit. Aligning Staysure with the Tour allows us to support a global sporting platform built on trust, quality and long-term ambition. The strengthened schedule and new identity reflect the direction of travel and the opportunities ahead.”
With Ryder Cup pedigree, Major-winning talent, emerging contenders and world-class venues across multiple continents, the 2026 Staysure Legends Tour is poised to deliver another year of compelling storylines and elite competition.
