The Irishman has competed at Constance Belle Mare Plage twice previously, finishing in a tie for fourth place on his last outing in 2018, and will travel to the Indian Ocean to celebrate the tournament’s tenth anniversary later this year.

The MCB Tour Championship – Mauritius will be the 13th and final event of the inaugural Legends Tour season and some of the biggest names in over-50s golf will descend on the Legends Course looking to add their name to the illustrious list of winners.

McGinley, who won three Ryder Cups as a player in addition to leading Team Europe to victory at Gleneagles in 2014, said: “I’m really looking forward to returning to Mauritius for the tenth anniversary of the MCB Tour Championship.

“I think it’s been a really successful first year for the Legends Tour and the week in Mauritius is a fitting way to not only celebrate the MCB Tour Championship’s milestone achievement, but also to reflect on a brilliant first year for our Tour.

“The Mauritian people are always so welcoming and friendly and I can’t wait to see everybody at Constance Belle Mare Plage in December.”

In addition to bringing the Legends Tour season to a close, the MCB Tour Championship will also host ten famous faces from the word of sport and entertainment to compete in the Celebrity Series Grand Final. World famous names including former Liverpool and England footballer Robbie Fowler, Rugby Union legends Gavin Hastings and Keith Wood, and 20-time Champion Jockey Sir AP McCoy will compete for a £100,000 charity prize fund.

The MCB Tour Championship – Mauritius will be held from Friday December 10 – Sunday December 12 at Constance Belle Mare Plage, a European Tour Destination in the picturesque town of Post de Flacq.
