Players seeking a route into one of the Staysure Legends Tour’s flagship events can still enter the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship Qualifier, taking place at Royal Ascot Golf Club on Tuesday 30th June.
The 18-hole stroke play event offers competitors the opportunity to secure one of five coveted places into the 2026 Staysure PGA Seniors Championship, which will take place from August 6th – 9th at Trump International Golf Links, Aberdeen.
This year’s championship marks a historic moment for Scottish golf, with the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship set to become the first professional tournament ever played on Trump International’s acclaimed New Course – a significant milestone for one of the world’s most talked-about links venues.
Hosted by Ryder Cup legend Colin Montgomerie, one of Europe’s most decorated golfers and an eight-time European Tour Order of Merit winner, the championship is expected to attract a world-class field of Major champions, Ryder Cup stars and Staysure Legends Tour winners.
Already set to grace the fairways in Aberdeen are 2005 U.S. Open winner Michael Campbell, 1991 Masters champion and former Ryder Cup captain Ian Woosnam, and home favourite Paul Lawrie, who famously lifted The Open Championship in 1999. They will be joined by a host of Ryder Cup stars and tournament winners from across the Staysure Legends Tour, making it one of the strongest fields on the senior golfing calendar.
Open to professional golfers and amateurs with a maximum WHS Handicap Index of 1.4, the Royal Ascot qualifier carries a £2,000 prize fund. Entries are still open, with the closing date set for Thursday 25th June.
Players will compete at the prestigious Berkshire venue, with 40 places reserved for PGA Professionals and 40 places reserved for Staysure Legends Tour members on a first come, first served basis.
Successful qualifiers, along with exempt professionals who are not already members of the Staysure Legends Tour, will be granted temporary membership of Tour for the duration of the Championship.
To be eligible to qualify, players must be aged 50 or over on Thursday 6th August 2026.
